Donate in Nick's Memory

Thanks to the the tremendous generosity of Nick's friends and extended family, a few amazing nonprofits received healthy financial support for their programs in 2021.  Nick's concerns over the impact of climate change were directed to environmental and wildlife organizations that he supported. Moreover, Nick's mental health challenges led the Songs to also support mental health awareness through Changing Tides at Little Tokyo Service Center. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and care for these causes. Our deepest gratitude and thanks to all of you. Please click the links to find out how you can continue your support.

With the help of generous support from donors to the Nick Song Memorial Fund, Changing Tides launched the Changing Tides Stream - a sponsored stipend program intended for AAPI youth and young adults (ages 16 – 25) who are first-time non-acute therapy seekers or currently unable to afford the costs of therapy. The goal of this program is to provide an accessible, transparent, and inclusive opportunity to obtain mental health services. Changing Tides is also launching suicide prevention outreach and awareness activities to reduce the stigma around mental health challenges and to equip individuals and the community. Please check out Changing TIdes to donate or find out more about their resources, events and podcast.

Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network (SBWCN) serves to rescue, rehabilitate and return to the wild sick, injured, orphaned, or oil-impaired wild birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties and to educate the public about living in harmony with wildlife.  As a state-licensed wildlife rehabilitation organization, SBWCN staff and volunteers currently help thousands of animals each year and communicate with over 7,000 individual citizens from Morro Bay to Malibu.  Nick was a volunteer with the veterinary department of SBWCN and embraced its mission.  Please check out Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network to donate or learn more.
