Mental Health Resources

Nick’s recent struggles with mental health were known to some but not others. Tragically, as is the case for many individuals, it was difficult to identify his issues and to receive appropriate treatment.  The COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts only worsened his health and he faced enormous challenges despite professional help.

We know that Nick was far from alone in battling for good mental health. So many of our friends and family have shared about their stories of deep depression and anxiety.  Clearly, Nick’s passing has opened a safe space for dialogue about mental health and self-care.

As part of Nick’s legacy, we are committed to increasing these conversations, reducing the stigma of mental health disorders, and increasing access to quality, culturally and linguistically-appropriate mental health services.  We want to share about some organizations doing amazing work in this arena. We invite you to check them out to learn about available services and programs or to become involved as a volunteer.
